My name is Paula Jo - but you can call me PJ for short.  I am married with a 12-year old son, 1 dog and 2 cats (one of which I'd like to find a new home for.....can anyone help?)  I am a CIS professor at Sierra College, but I'm on sabbatical this semester so I figured I'd use some of my time to catch up on all of the latest software for making web pages.  My hobbies include music (playing, listening, etc.), snow skiing, dancing, and camping.

I have an MS degree in Computer Science - emphasis on Software Engineering. (So I have done a bit of programming in the past.) I also worked at the Sacramento Bee as a Network Engineer for a number of years supporing their network of Macintoshs. But most recently, I have been working in the CIS Department at Sierra College teaching computer applications courses. Lately, I have been learning a lot about voice recognition using Dragon Naturally Speaking. I will be teaching the Voice Recognition class (CIS12) online in the spring.

I need to update my skills when it comes to creating web pages. I have fallen hopelessly behind in my knowledge of the latest and greatest web page applications. I have volunteered to work on the web pages for the California State Old Time Fiddlers District 5 website - so I really need to know what I'm doing so that these pages are as professional as possible.
